So as a birthday present and tribute to local legend DJ Russell Fenby of this hood and also for Soul madster Lesley De Banke here my first trawl through the wooden box of soul and funk that been sitting neglected for years.
Some of these singles go back to a part-time job I had in Walthamstow London back in mid 1980s. Others are more recent finds in car boots and charity shops.
